Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge has been closely linked with an Anfield exit this summer.
Reports from Turkey claimed that Besiktas vice-president Ahmet Nur Cebi met twice with Sturridge’s agent to discuss a loan move.
The latest rumors sparked a social media storm in Turkey with Besiktas fans flooding Sturridge with messages urging him to join.
Turkish-Football sources have however, confirmed that the Black Eagles have not made an offer.
The latest transfer rumors regarding a move to Besiktas being imminent are false.
The Istanbul giants have not contacted Liverpool or his representatives.
As things stand Sturridge will be staying at Liverpool but offers will be considered this summer as he has just 12 months remaining on his contract.
Contrary to reports suggesting otherwise, Sturridge is happy at Liverpool and keen on fighting for his place in Jurgen Klopp’s side next season.
Besiktas would be unable to cover the England forward’s €6.5 million salary.
Fenerbahce are the only Super Lig side that would be able to match his wages but as things stand the Yellow Canaries have not lodged a formal bid.
Sturridge has received interest from rival Premier League sides but offers have not been made.
The 28-year-old scored just three goals for the Reds in the first half of the season before being loaned to West Brom in January.
A recent report claimed that his future at the Reds is in question after his relationship with head coach Jurgen Klopp broke down.
Sturridge did deny the claims but it is difficult to see him being part of Klopp’s plans next season.
Spoke to the boss and Michael Edwards over the couple of days and wished them good luck for the final. Wished my team mates good luck after the semis and this week. #ynwa #redordead ?

The former Chelsea striker failed to score a single goal at West Brom, making just five starts.
