Mehmet Ekici scores more free kicks than Real Madrid superstar Ronaldo
[divider]Mehmet Ekici has scored more goals than Cristiano Ronaldo since January 1 2015. The Trabzonspor player has scored nine goals since the turn of the year while Ronaldo has found the back of the net seven times.
The 24-year-old has now scored five direct-free kick goals this season, making him the most dangerous set-piece specialist in Europe – top five European leagues. He has also scored the most free-kick goals in a Turkish Super Lig season.

The German giants loaned him out to 1 FC. Nuremberg in 2010 a one year agreement and he was signed by Werder Bremen the following season.
Ekici joined Trabzonspor for £1.3 million this summer on a four-year deal and has established himself as a key member of Ersun Yanal’s side.
