Fenerbahçe forward Dirk Kuyt revealed that he believes the Süper Lig title race is officially underway.
The Yellow Canaries beat Galatasaray in the Intercontinental derby at the Sükrü Saracoğlu stadium to close the gap with league leaders Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe to just one point.
“The Galatasaray win put us back in the running, now the title race begins, we have to look forward now and focus on each game as it comes,” Kuyt was quoted as saying on Eurosport TR.

Kuyt joined Fenerbahçe from Liverpool in 2012 for €1 million and has eight goals and four assists in all competitions for the Yellow Canaries this season.
Fenerbahçe have not lost against Galatasaray at the Şükrü Saracoğlu stadium since 1999.
The defeat was Galatasaray’s first league loss under recently appointed manager Hamza Hamzaoğlu and snapped a four game win streak.
Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray have both won the Süper Lig 19 times. Beşiktaş who are also in the title race have won the league title on 13 occasions.
The Yellow Canaries take on Gençlerbirliği at the 19 Mayıs stadium next.
