Sneijder relieved to play part in Netherlands equaliser [divider]
Netherlands star Wesley Sneijder revealed that he was relieved with the role he played in the last minute equaliser in the 1-1 against Turkey.
“From the first minute we played to win this game,” Sneijder told NOS.
“We dominated posession and created some opportunities but they got only one big chance and they scored immediately. We played the game, but we didn’t create enough. Yes, I’m relieved that I scored the equaliser in injury-time.”

Sneijder’s last minute shot took a deflection off Huntelaar to rescue the Netherlands a point.
Turkey would have overtaken Netherlands and moved into third place in Group A on seven points had they won.
The Dutch remain in third place following the draw, increasing their points tally to seven.
Sneijder joined Galatasaray from Inter in January 2013 and has a total of 30 goals and 14 assists in 93 games for the Lions.
The 30-year-old playmaker has won the Süper Lig, Turkish Cup and Turkish Süper Cup since his arrival in Turkey.
