Fenerbahce adopt Germany national team training regime

Fenerbahçe manager Ismail Kartal has revealed that he went to a course in Germany to train alongside Joachim Löw.

“We went to a course for sprint and fitness training, when Aykut Kocaman was in charge we did a four-day course there as well before the Germany-Netherlands game,” Kartal told Milliyet.

Kartal also revealed that he took his conditioners and researchers to study the methods being used.

“I took the conditioners over and they studied the science and what we need to do,” he added.

Kartal and Löw have worked together in the past and remain close friends.

The Yellow Canaries are favourite to win the Süper Lig according to Löw.

“Fenerbahçe are my favourites of course, it would be a great achievement to win the title back to back,” he told Milliyet.

Ismail Kartal was appointed as manager of the Istanbul giants at the start of the season following Ersun Yanal’s departure from the club.

The Yellow Canaries travel to Eskişehir to take on EsEs next at the Atatürk stadium.

Fenerbahçe are currently first in the Süper Lig, one point above second placed Beşiktaş and Galatasaray who are third on goal difference.
