Samed Yeşil has thanked the staff at Liverpool for their support during his two injury lay offs.
The former Bayer Leverkusen striker only recently recovered from a double cruciate ligament injury that has seen him spend most of the season on the sidelines.
Yeşil also promised supporters that his best is yet to come as he targets full fitness following his return to the starting eleven.
“It was really hard [to be out] because after the second [injury] I didn’t know what to do,” Yeşil told Liverpool’s official website.
“But I was lucky that I had good people around me and they gave me confidence to come back.
“It was amazing support from all the staff, from my teammates, from the physios, my friends and family.
“They gave me confidence, they gave me motivation to come back and I think without them I might not have.
“I feel really sharp already but I know I’m not at 100 per cent. I’m sure there is more to come from me.”

Yeşil now has four goals in seven U21 appearances for the Reds this season. The former Bayer Leverkusen player played 66 minutes in his first Merseyside Derby before being substituted off. Yeşil joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen as did his teammate Emre Can.
