Galatasaray presidential candidate Turgay Kıran has underlined that he will keep head coach Hamza Hamzaoğlu in charge of the team should he get elected.
There has been speculation that Hamzaoğlu could be headed for a summer exit following the election but both candidates Kıran and Dursun Özbek have confirmed they will back the former Galatasaray player.
“Hamza has done a great job, he left his role at the national team for us, he is a young manager with a bright future and I would want him to stay on as head coach if I win the election,” Kıran told the Milliyet.

Hamzaoğlu replaced former Italian national team manager Cesare Prandelli as Galatasaray head coach in November under current president Duygun Yarsuvat.
Yarsuvat will resign from his position as president at the end of the season.
The Italian manager’s contract was terminated following a string of heavy defeats in the UEFA Champions League group stages.
Hamzaoğlu was previously a Galatasaray player and coached Akhisar before taking over the Lions.
Galatasaray are currently second in the Süper Lig on goal difference to first placed Beşiktaş.
Rivals Fenerbahçe trail closely behind in third place, just one point behind.
