Galatasaray presidential candidate Dursun Özbek has stated that he will offer Wesley Sneijder a contract extension if he is elected.
The Istanbul Giants will elect a new president at the end of the season once Duygun Yarsuvat’s one-year reign comes to an end.
“We must keep the skeleton of the team intact,” Dursun Özbek told the Turkish newspaper Sabah.
The report goes onto state that Özbek will look to extend Sneijder’s contract by two years until 2018.
Southhampton were interested in signing Sneijder during the winter transfer window.
