Bayern Munich look to be back in the race to sign Ilkay Gündoğan from Borussia Dortmund.
The Bundesliga champions were reportedly out of the race due to the 24-year-old’s ‘greedy’ contract demands according to the German tabloid Bild.
However, according to the German website Fussball Transfers, Bayern are back in the running to sign Gündoğan and are preparing a cash offer along with Pierre-Emile Hoejbjerg.
The report goes onto state that Bayern will offer Gündoğan an €8 million-per-season salary which is an increase on his current €6.5 million-per-season deal at Dortmund.

Dortmund CEO Hans Joachim Watzke has confirmed that Gündoğan will leave the club at the end of the season.
“Gündoğan will be leaving Borussia Dortmund this summer, that is a fact. I am very confident we will see various clubs coming in for him,” Watzke told SportBild.
“It has not been our intention to see him leaving. It was his ambition to move clubs. Therefore we agreed. We will sell him.”
Gündoğan has five assists and three goals in 32 appearances for Dortmund despite spending much of the season out injured and is almost certain to leave the Bundesliga giants over the summer.
