Mesut Özil has taken to social media to express his delight at Arsenal’s FA Cup final victory over Aston Villa.
The World Cup winner played a staring role in Arsenal’s 4-0 victory over Aston Villa in the FA Cup final today at Wembley. Özil played 77 minutes before being taken off in for Jack Wilshere.
The Gunners were the better team from start to end and broke the deadlock after 40 minutes via Theo Walcott. Alexis Sanchez, Per Mertesacker and Olivier Giroud added to Arsenal’s lead in the second half.
Following the final whistle and post-game celebrations Özil posted the following tweet on his official Twitter page.

Özil received a rating of 7.46 from Who Scored. The Germany international made 46 passes throughout the game and maintained a passing accuracy of 91.3%.
The 26-year-old has finished the season with nine assists and five goal in 33 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions.
