Ismail Kartal has confirmed his resignation as manager of Fenerbahce following his sides 2-0 victory over Kasimpasa.
The Yellow Canaries ended the 2014-15 season with a victory over their Istanbul rivals. Fenerbahce have finished the season in second place with 74 points in 34 games.
Kartal was a surprise appointment at the start of the season in place of Ersun Yanal who departed after a dispute with the chairman Aziz Yildirim.

The former Assistant manager won 25, drew five and lost five of his 34 Turkish Super League games. Kartal managed to defeat both Besiktas and Galatasaray in the second half of the season.
However, Kartal came under fire for his persistence with the out-of-form striker Emmanuel Emenike and for disappointing performances against mid and lower table teams.
