“It wasn’t easy because I didn’t speak the language so well but now I’ve improved my English, it’s a little bit better,” Can told the official Liverpool website.

Can has been taking English classes to improve his command of the language and communicate better with teammates.
The 21-year-old also stated that moving to England from Germany was daunting at first but that he has adapted well.
“It was a big move, of course, because it was the first time that I [left] Germany,” Can continued.
The midfielder-come-defender was widely regarded as one of the Reds best signing last season.
Can made a total of 40 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool and established himself as a regular in Brendan Rodgers first-team.
Despite playing most of the season in defence Can is expected to move into a central midfield role during the next league campaign with captain Steven Gerrard leaving.
Can has been called up for the Germany U21 squad ahead of the European Championships this summer.
