Beşiktaş have released a statement confirming that they are in talks with Serbia international Dusko Tosic.

Trabzonspor and Southampton have also been closely linked with the experienced defender.

The Black Sea Storm’s head coach Ersun Yanal met with Tosic and his agent at the Calisto Restaurant in Büyükçekmece, Ankara but were unable to agree upon a deal.

The Serbia international has made 30 appearances for the Ankara based side this season.

Beşiktaş finished the league in third place and booked a place in the Europa League group stages next season.

The Black Eagles will be without Slaven Bilic next season, the former Croatian national team manager has resigned from his position as head coach.
