Barcelona are preparing to hold late talks with Ilkay Gundogan in Ibiza amid reports the 24-year-old is on the verge of a switch to Manchester United.
The Express has stated that the Catalan club’s representatives will travel to Ibiza where Gundogan is on holiday to persuade the German midfielder to change his mind.
According to the Turkish news agency DHA, Barcelona are having difficulties negotiating with Gündoğan’s agent and father Irfan Gündoğan who is demanding €12 million-per-year for his client.
United are ‘set to complete’ the transfer of Ilkay Gündoğan from Borussia Dortmund according to the Metro. The daily newspaper went onto say that Gündoğan is already believed to have agreed personal terms with the Red Devil’s.

The 24-year-old rejected a contract extension deal with Dortmund and is expected to leave the Bundesliga outfit.
“Gündoğan will be leaving Borussia Dortmund this summer, that is a fact. I am very confident we will see various clubs coming in for him,”Dortmund CEO Hans Joachim Watzke told SportBild.
Gündoğan has five assists and three goals in 32 appearances for Dortmund despite spending much of the season out injured and is almost certain to leave the Bundesliga giants over the summer.
