Arsenal have emerged as strong contenders to win the race for Ilkay Gündoğan’s signature.
The Metro has stated that Arsenal have the ‘opportunity to seal the deal’ after Manchester United, Barcelona and Bayern Munich failed to reach an agreement with player and club.
However, The Express has stated that Barcelona representatives will travel to Ibiza where Gündoğan is on holiday to persuade the Germany international midfielder to change his mind.

The 24-year-old rejected a contract extension deal with Dortmund and is expected to leave the Bundesliga outfit.
