Galatasaray have pulled out of the race to sign Fiorentina striker Mario Gomez according to head coach Hamza Hamzaoğlu.
The Lions boss gave an interview to Lig Tv claiming that Gomez had made unrealistic wage demands.
“We do want to sign a striker and were considering Mario Gomez but they wanted €9 million and he wanted €5 million per-season which is too much,” Hamzaoğlu said.

The Metro claim that Liverpool are also interested in signing the Fiorentina star.
Gomez struggled last season managing to hit the back of the net just 10 times in all competition but he does have a more impressive record over the years.
The 29-year-old has a grand total of 166 goals in 308 appearances in all competitions throughout his professional career.
Galatasaray won the league title for a record 20th time last season and also won the double for an unprecedented sixth time following their 16th Turkish Cup title.
The Lions booked a place in the Champions League group stages for the fourth consecutive season in the process.
