Fiorentina striker Mario Gomez is on the verge of signing for Beşiktaş according to club general secretary Ahmet Ürkmezgil.
The general secretary stated that talks are still ongoing but he expects the Germany international to join.
“We are going over the final details hopefully it all goes well I am looking forward to seeing him,” Ürkmezgil told Radyospor.
“We are on the verge of signing him.”
Beşiktaş are also reported to be close to completing the transfer of Hull City striker Dame N’Doye according to Fanatik.
The Black Eagles are in the transfer market for a striker following the €14 million transfer of Demba Ba to Shanghai Shenhua.
Ba joined the Istanbul giants on a €6 million move from Chelsea last summer and scored a career high 27 goals in his debut season.
The Independent recently stated that Liverpool are considering swapping Mario Balotelli with Mario Gomez.
Gomez has a grand total of 166 goals in 308 appearances in all competitions throughout his professional career.
