Samed Yesil found the back of the net twice during Liverpool u-21’s 6-0 victory over Waterford United.
Jack Dunn put Liverpool u-21 ahead while Ryan McLaughlin doubled the lead 2-0.
Sergi Canos and Sam Hart both got on the scoresheet before Yesil fired a double to complete the rout.
“It was also pleasing to see Samed score twice. He is a goalscorer and he will take a lot of confidence from that,” U21s boss Michael Beale told Liverpoolfc.com
Turkish newspaper HaberTurk, reported that that Liverpool are open to the idea of allowing Yeşil to leave on loan so that he can gain first team experience but it seems the 21-year-old wants to try and prove himself in England this season.
The young striker missed most of last season with a double cruciate ligament injury but did make a full recovery towards the end of the league campaign.
