Emre Can is expected to face competition for a role in Liverpool’s midfield in the upcoming season according to the Daily Mail.
The report claims that Brendan Rodgers will play a four or three-man midfield next season and that Jordon Henderson and James Milner are almost guaranteed for two spots.
This could leave Emre Can, Coutinho and Lallana all vying for a place in the Reds midfield.
The 21-year-old spent last season playing in a three-back and at right-back despite being signed as a midfielder from Bayer Leverkusen.
Can put on an impressive display playing in midfield for the Germany U-21 side in the 2015 U-21 European Championships.

“Of course, we talked about this. The manager has said he sees me as a midfielder, and that’s where I want to play in the near future,” Can told the Anfield Wrap.
