The Turkish national team manager Fatih Terim has stated that Arda Turan is not a difficult player to work with.
The experienced coach went onto say that Arda can play a number of different roles within a team.
“Those who say he has a volcanic character, that he’s difficult to work with, I say no,” Terim told Mundo Deportivo.
“He’s played as a Xavi, an Iniesta, even a [Sergio] Busquets for me [in the Turkey side].
“And, where needed, he’s played as a second striker, as Cholo Simeone did.”
The Turkish international recently completed his £24 million transfer from Atletico Madrid to Barcelona but will be unable to play until January due to the transfer ban imposed on the club by FIFA.
Turan signed a five-year deal with the La Liga champions reported to be worth £6 million per-season.
The former Galatasaray midfielder was expected to feature in the pre-season but the transfer ban also applies to friendly games.
The 26-year-old provided six assists and scored three goals in 46 appearances for Atletico Madrid last season.
