Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini has stated that the likes of Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Petr Cech can lead Arsenal to the title.
The Gunners on their last Premier League title back in 2004, prior to Flamini’s arrival from Marseille.
“I can feel Arsenal now is different to the club I left in 2008. I don’t think any of the key players left in the last two years. It’s a great example,” Flamini told the Telegraph.
“And each year we have added quality players like Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Petr Cech,”
“These are players who can make the difference at any moment. So I think we have a very good chance.”
Flamini provided two assists and scored on goal in 33 appearances for Arsenal last season.
Özil provided nine assists and five goals in 32 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions last season. The world cup winner has been in good form since the turn of the year winning two Vitality Arsenal Player of the Month and a PFA Fans Player of the Month award.
The 26-year-old has hit the ground running during pre-season, Özil provided two assists and scored during Arsenal’s 6-0 victory over Lyon.
The North London based side take on their rivals Chelsea on August 2 in the Charity shield.
