Celtic held out for a goalless draw against Azerbaijan outfit Qarabağ to progress to the Champions League play-offs with a 1-0 aggregate win.
The Scottish giants won the first leg 1-0 at home thanks to a goal from Dedryck Boyata.
The game was played in-front of 30,000 raucous fans at the Tofiq Bahramov stadium waving white Qarabag flags but the 12th man was not enough to help guide their side through to the next stage.
Nadir Çitçi started for Celtic despite serving an eight-match domestic ban for being found guilty of biting Jim McAlister in May’s Dundee derby.
The Celtic striker will be out of league action until the the Aberdeen game in September. Çiftçi joined Celtic earlier this month on a £1.5 million transfer from Dundee United.
The 23-year-old striker was the fourth top scorer in the Scottish Premier League last season netting 12 goals in 34 league games for Dundee United.
The young striker was born in the Netherlands but represents Turkey due to being of Turkish heritage.
