West Ham manager Slaven Bilic is set to make his Premier League managerial debut against Arsenal on Sunday 9 August at the Emirates stadium.
Bilic is no stranger to coaching teams against Arsenal. The Croatian manager was in charge of the Beşiktaş side that took on the Gunners in the Champions League play-off stages last season.
The Black Eagles held Arsenal to a goalless draw at the Atatürk Olympic stadium and narrowly lost out 1-0 at the Emirates in the return leg.
Bilic was undefeated on home soil against Premier League opposition last season – drawing against Arsenal while beating Tottenham and Liverpool.
The 46-year-old manager failed to win a single derby game during his two-year stint in Turkey and will be hoping to turn around his fortunes at West Ham but he will have a tough task overcoming Arsenal considering the Hammers have lost their last 10 head-to-head games against the north London based outfit.
Bilic guided Beşiktaş to third-place in the Süper Lig last season and the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
