Arsenal suffered a surprise 2-0 defeat at the hand of West Ham United earlier today at the Emirates stadium.
The defeat was Arsenal’s first loss in the games against the Hammers. Cheikhou Kouyaté and Mauro Zárate scored for the Hammers with Arsenal keeper Petr Cech at fault on both goals.
Mesut Özil played the full 90 minutes in the Gunners disappointing home defeat.
The club’s record signing received a rating of 6.67 from Whoscored after failing to register a shot on target. The Former Real Madrid playmaker did provide four key passes and maintained a passing accuracy of 87.7 but failed to leave his mark on the game.
Arsenal will be looking to bounce back next weekend when they have a tough away trip to Crystal Palace.
