Liverpool legend John Aldridge has taken to Twitter to heap praise on Emre Can who came on as a substitute during Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Stoke City.
The Red’s exacted revenge following their 6-1 mulling in the final game of last season against the Potters.

“Can made a big impact!MOM for me was Clyne!Good to play V Average and win at a difficult place.ynwa,” Aldridge stated on Twitter.
The 21-year-old received a rating of 6.39 from Whoscored. The Germany u21 international made one key tackle and an interception after coming off the bench. Can also maintained a passing accuracy of 91%.
Philippe Coutinho scored the games only goal with a stunning strike from outside the area.
The Reds did not have the best record at the Britannia going into their Premier League opener. Liverpool had won just two of their last seven away games against Stoke in all competitions until yesterday.
