Ilkay Gündoğan is available to Juventus for €30 million despite the 24-year-old recently signing a contract extension according to the Italian sports paper Tuttosport.
Following Juventus’ 2-0 victory over Lazio in the Super Cup – which was played in China – Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri admitted that he wants to sign a new midfielder.
The report goes onto say that the Serie A champions who failed to sign Julian Draxler as well as Bayern Munich’s Mario Gotze over the past week have have now set their sights on Gündoğan.
Manchester United and Arsenal were both closely linked with a move for the Germany international earlier this summer by the Daily Mail.
Juventus won the Italian Serie A title last season with a 17 point gab between second placed Roma and reached the UEFA Champions League final.
The Bianconeri’s were defeated 3-1 by Barcelona in the final which was played at the Olympiastadion in Berlin. Juventus take on Udinese in their opening game of the 2015-16 season.
Gündoğan wrapped up the season with five assists and three goals in 33 appearances in all competitions.
