Fenerbahçe have released a statement denying interest in Southampton defensive-midfielder Victor Wanyama.
The Sözcü newspaper had closely linked Fenerbahçe with the Kenyan international and claimed that the Yellow Canaries were set to make an offer.
The Istanbul giants have completely denied interest in the 24-year-old midfielder although the club is expected to sign an additional player before the end of the transfer window.
Fenerbahçe have had a busy transfer window signing the liked of Manchester United duo Luis Nani and Robin van Persie as well as Danish international Simon Kjaer, Brazil international Josef de Souza, Turkish international Şener Özbayraklı and last seasons Süper Lig goal king Fernandao.
The Canaries also replaced former manager Ismail Kartal with Portuguese head coach Vitor Pereira last month.
Wanyama signed for Premier League side Southampton for a fee claimed to be £12.5 million in 2013 and became the first Kenyan to ever play in the Premier League in the process.
