Kasımpaşa on-loan defender Kenneth Omeruo starred in Kasımpaşa’s 1-0 win against Başakşehir in the mini-Istanbul derby on Friday 21 August.
The 21-year-old made the highest number of tackles (4) and clearances (6) over the course of the 90 minutes.
Kasımpaşa kept their second clean sheet in as many games and the victory was also their second of the season.
The win over Başakşehir took Kasımpaşa into first place in the Süper Lig. The Istanbul based side take on Gençlerbirliği next in Ankara.
Omeruo joined Kasımpaşa from Chelsea on loan and the Paşalar have a future buy-out clause option to sign the 21-year-old on a permanent deal until next summer.
The 21-year-old defender was part of the Middlesbrough team that ensured promotion to the Premier League last season.
Kasımpaşa are one of several Istanbul sides in the Süper Lig including Başakşehir, Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş.
Fenerbahçe, Antalyaspor and Rizespor could all overtake Kasımpaşa on goal difference if they win their next games.
