Can played in his favoured midfield position for the third game in a row after spend the whole of last season in defence.
The 21-year-old played alongside Lucas Leiva and James Milner in the centre of the park.
Can replaced Jordan Henderson who came off injured during last weekend’s victory over Bournemouth.
Ozil had a quite 90 minutes for the Gunners tonight following his staring role in the Gunners 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace in the previous round.
