Juventus have set their sights on Bayer Leverkusen’s playmaker Hakan Çalhanoğlu according to Radyospor.
The Turkish sports radio station state that Juve have set aside €25 million for the Turkish international.
Çalhanoğlu recently scored a free-kick in Leverkusen’s 1-0 victory over Hanover. Hanover goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler was beaten from 28-yards from goal by the 21-year-old.
The former HSV player’s strike was Bayer Leverkusen’s only goal who are hot on the heels of Bayern Munich with two victories in two games.
Çalhanoğlu scored the highest number of free-kick goals – in the top five leagues in Europe – Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1 – last season.
Sunderland were linked with Çalhanoğlu earlier this summer according to the Metro.
The 21-year-old joined Bayer on a €15 million transfer last season and has four-years left on his contract.
Leverkusen take on Lazio tomorrow in the UEFA Champions League qualification game.
