Manchester City defender Jason Denayer could still join Galatasaray according to his agent Jesse De Pretter.
The agent claims that Galatasaray are among the two favourites to sign the young defender.
“Galatasaray are among the two clubs closest to signing Denayer we are going to make our decision over the next 24 hours,” Pretter told Fanatik.
Denayer’s agent also denied leaving Turkey without holding talks with Galatasaray. The 20-year-old defender along with his agent attended the Galatasaray v Osmanlıspor game at the Türk Telekom Arena.
The Turkish media claimed that the deal collapsed after the match but De Pretter revealed that negotiations are still ongoing.
“The reports from Turkey are false, we came to Turkey held talks watched the game and left,” he added.
The Lions are facing competition for Denayer’s signature from French giants Marseille.
Galatasaray would be able to offer Denayer Champions League group stage football after booking a place in the competition for the fourth consecutive season.
The Istanbul giants won the league title for a record 20th time last season and are coached by Hamza Hamzaoğlu.
