Barcelona star Arda Turan called up for Turkish national team squad

Turkish national team manager Fatih Terim has named his squad ahead of key European Championship 2016 games next week.

Terim has called up Barcelona star Arda Turan despite the bearded winger being unable to play at club level due to the FIFA transfer ban.

Bayer Leverkusen star Hakan Çalhanoğlu has kept his place in the side after a great start to the season scoring twice in his last three games including the Champions League play-off second let tie against Lazio.

Former Arsenal youth Oğuzhan Özyakup also returns after a long absence after an impressive start to the season at Beşiktaş.

Sivasspor striker Batuhan Karadeniz has also earned a surprise call-up to the side.

Turkey take on Latvia on 3 September and then the Netherlands at the Konya Torku Arena on 6 September 2015.
