Barcelona star Arda Turan has vowed that he will fight until the end to keep Turkey’s hopes of qualifying for the European 2016 championships alive.
Turkey were held to a 1-1 draw against Latvia yesterday at the Konya Torku Arena but managed to close the gap with the Netherlands to just one point after the Dutch lost to Iceland at home.
Turan believes the Crescent-Stars still have a chance at making it through to the tournament next summer.
“We still have a chance it is in our own hands and we will fight until the very end to keep our hopes alive,” Turan was quoted as saying by Habertürk.

Turkey take on the Netherlands next at the Konya Torku Arena on the weekend and will overtake the Dutch with a win.
The 28-year-old winger played his first game of the season against Latvia despite joining Barcelona from Atletico Madrid last month. Turan is unable to play for the La Liga champions until January due to the FIFA transfer ban imposed on the club.
