Liverpool have appointed Jurgen Klopp as their new manager according to the BBC.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss replaced Brendan Rodgers who was sacked following the 1-1 draw against Everton in the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.
Klopp has signed a three-year deal worth £15 million which works out at £5 million per-season but he could earn up to £7 million with bonuses included.
Emre Can will be coached by a manager other than Rodgers for the first time in his Liverpool career but he did state that Klopp is a manager who has proven himself in a recent interview.
Speaking to Die Welt before former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers’ departure, Can said: “Jurgen Klopp is certainly a great coach. I think that he’s proven in Dortmund that he could fit in at any club in the world.”
Can has never worked under the management of Klopp despite starting his career in the Bundesliga at Bayern Munich before his move to Bayer Leverkusen.
The Reds are currently 10th in the Premier League on 12 points after eight games this season.
