Ilkay Gündoğan has heaped praise on Liverpool’s news manager Jurgen Klopp.
The Germany international stated that he is happy to see his former manager at Liverpool.
Klopp has been appointed as the Liverpool manager on a three-year contract in place of Brendan Rodgers.
“Wow! What a hype about Kloppo becoming the new manager of Liverpool! Congratulations to the #LFC for the appointment!” Gündoğan stated on his official Facebook page.
I’m sure he’ll bring the Reds back to the top of the #bpl and I wish him all the best! Perhaps we’ll see each other again this season in the Europa League, Kloppo! “
Gündoğan has been linked with a move to Liverpool according to the Express newspaper.
Dortmund rejected an approach from United just before the end of the summer window for Gündoğan according to the German newspaper Express.
Klopp won two Bundesliga titles and finished the 2012-13 Champions League as runners-up during his time in charge of Dortmund.
