Fenerbahçe striker Robin van Persie was back to his best on the weekend scoring in his sides 3-1 win over Mersin Idman Yurdu.
The Dutch star scored his sixth goal of the season in what was the first game that Fenerbahçe have scored three times in a single game.
Van Persie has been closely linked with a move to Chelsea and Barcelona over recent weeks but he made it clear in his post-match press conference that he will not be leaving the Yellow Canaries over the winter transfer window.
The Netherlands international told Turkish-football.com reporters: “There is a lot of talk about Chelsea and Barcelona but I have received no offers and I am dedicated to Fenerbahçe.”
Van Persie was rumoured to have had a rift with Fenerbahçe boss Vitor Pereira but it seems that they have patched things up.
The experienced striker was critical that he was not starting but Pereira claimed it was due to Van Persie lacking match fitness and nothing to do with the feud the two were supposed to have had.
