Arsenal star mesut Özil is expected to be included in Arsenal’s starting line-up when they host Dinamo Zagreb at the Emirates Stadium in the UEFA Champions League tonight.
The Germany international has played in all of Arsenal’s Champions League fixtures this season and knows his side cannot afford to drop points if they are to advance to the next round of the competition.
The 27-year-old has been in scintillating form having scored against Manchester United and Bayern Munich as well as breaking his won assist record last weekend against West Brom.
Özil has a total of 11 assists in 12 games for the Gunners now which is the highest in Europe’s top five leagues including England, Spain, France, Italy and Germany.
The Gunners are reportedly lining up a new deal for their star playmaker. Özil is currently reported to earn a total of £12.43 million per-season, £8.43 million of which stems from salary and bonuses while £4 million derives from sponsorship which makes him the highest paid Gunners player in the current team.
