Akhisar have released an official statement confirming that they have struck an agreement with Roberto Carlos to mutually terminate his contract.
The statement read: “Roberto Carlos and the club have mutually agreed to part ways. Akhisar would like to thank Roberto for his services to the club.”
The World Cup winner was appointed Akhisar manager in December and took the team out of the relegation zone into league safety but Carlos revealed that he was disappointed with his sides performance this season.
“I am not pleased with finishing 12th, it does not suit us to finish the league in this position, we have to do better,” Carlos was quoted as saying by Eurosport TR.
