A surprising development in the summer transfer window sees Liverpool’s acclaimed goalkeeper, Alisson Becker, strongly linked with a sensational move to Galatasaray.
Reports from journalist Ali Naci Kucak who was speaking on Football Arena suggest that the Brazilian international has even reduced his initial wage demands as the Turkish giants intensify their efforts to secure his services as a potential replacement for the departing Fernando Muslera.

While Alisson remains Liverpool’s undisputed number one, the Reds’ acquisition of Giorgi Mamardashvili last summer – subsequently loaned back to Valencia for the remainder of the 2024/25 season – has raised questions about their long-term goalkeeping strategy.
Alisson himself has two years remaining on his current contract at Anfield.
According to Kucak’s reporting, Alisson is now seeking a salary of €15 million (£13 million / $17 million) per year. This marks a significant reduction from the staggering €25 million (£21 million / $28 million) he was reportedly demanding in earlier discussions.
The revised figure would still see him command a substantial weekly wage of approximately £250,000.
Alisson has enjoyed an incredibly successful tenure at Anfield since joining in 2018, having collected every major trophy possible.
His honours include two Premier League titles, two League Cups, an FA Cup, and the Champions League, alongside the Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup.
The accomplished goalkeeper now faces a crucial decision regarding his future.
He could opt to remain at Liverpool and compete with the highly-rated Mamardashvili for the starting spot, or he could choose to seek a new challenge and potentially a guaranteed first-choice role elsewhere.
Galatasaray’s ambitious pursuit, coupled with his adjusted financial expectations, certainly adds an intriguing layer to this developing transfer saga and would be a huge marquee signing for the Turkish giants who landed Victor Osimhen on loan last summer.
