Turkish international star Arda Turan has revealed that he is delighted to have joined Barcelona despite currently being banned from playing and stated that in his opinion the reigning La Liga champions are the great club in the world.
“What can I say I am at the greatest club in the world it is an honour to be here,” Turan said speaking on TV 8 before the goalless draw between Turkey and Greece.
The bearded winger has not been able to play for Barcelona since joining on a five-year deal from Atletico Madrid over the summer but he has been in great form for Turkey.
Turkey are unbeaten in their last 11 games winning eight and drawing three – Turan has featured in 10 of those games scoring three times and providing four assists.
Barcelona fans will have to wait until January to see Turan play for his new club for the very first time. The club will be able to register the 28-year-old once the FIFA ban is over next season.
