Arda Turan will be registered as a Barcelona player on Monday 4 January

Arda Turan Barcelona team news

The long wait it over. Arda Turan will finally be able to join the likes of Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar from tomorrow onwards.

Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal will officially become registered Barcelona player on Monday 4 January 2016 despite both joining over the summer transfer window.

Turan joined Barcelona on a five-year deal from Atletico Madrid while Vidal was signed from Europa League winners Sevilla.

The reigning La Liga champions were able to sign both players despite serving a FIFA transfer ban but were restricted from registering their new signings until the winter transfer window.

Turan and Vidal were technically permitted to be registered on 1 January 2016 but due to the Spanish Football Federation offices being shut for the holidays the registration was delayed until Monday.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique insisted that Turan and Vidal both stay at the club instead of leaving on a six-month loan in order for both players to adapt to the club philosophy and playing culture.

Vidal and Turan are both expected to make their debut against Espanyol in the Spanish Cup on 6 January 2016.
