Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has stated that he was very impressed with Mesut Ozil’s performance against Bornemouth.
The Gunners defeated the newly promoted side by a 2-0 scoreline with Ozil scoring his sides opening goal.
“He has become a very important player, he has added a fighting attitude today,” Wenger said after the game.
“It was a top, top, top performance from him today.”
Ozil received a rating of 7.7 from WhoScored for his performance yesterday afternoon.
The 27-year-old provided two key passes, took one shot on target and maintained a passing accuracy of 93%.
Ozil had the highest pass percentage of the match after making a total of 53 passes. The Germany international has now scored six goals in all competitions for Arsenal this season.
Arsenal kept their 22 unbeaten streak against newly promoted Premier League opposition following the win. The north London based side takes on league leaders Leicester Ciy this weekend.
