Arsenal boss could drop Mesut Ozil for Barcelona return leg

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is considering dropping Mesut Ozil for the second leg clash with Barcelona at the Camp Nou in March.

The Times newspaper report’s Ozil and Laurent Koscielny could be left out for the return leg.

The Gunners suffered a 2-0 defeat at home in  the first leg with Wenger stating after the game that Arsenal had just a 5% chance of qualification.

Ozil put in a disappointing display during Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat at the hands of Barcelona. The Germany international received a rating of 6.26 from WhoScored for his performance on the night.

Arsenal will have to beat Barcelona at the Camp Nou by two goals or more to stand any chance of making it to the next round.

The north London based side are take on Manchester United in the Premier League this weekend. Arsenal are joint second in the League, two points behind leaders Leicester City.
