Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has shed light on Mesut Ozil’s latest injury status.
The experienced coach stated that the 27-year-old Germany international will be available for selection for this weekends clash with Chelsea in the Premier League.
The Gunners could also receive a further boost with Aleix Sanchez set to return from a hamstring injury.
“Compared to last week at Stoke, we have no big problems. Ozil is available and with Sanchez the next two days will be decisive,” Wenger stated at a pre-match press conference (via Goal).
The Germany international missed Arsenal’s 0-0 draw with Stoke City
Ozil has already provided 16 assists in the Premier League this season and is just four assists away from matching Thierry Henry’s record tally of 20.
Arsenal will remain at the top of the table if they defeat Chelsea on Saturday however, if the Gunners drop points they can be overtaken by both Manchester City and Leicester City.
