The former Arsenal defender Matin Keown has stated that the Gunners could lose both Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez if they finish the season outside of the top four.

The duo have two years remaining on their contracts however, Keown belives that Ozil and Sanchzes will be looking for a move away form the Emirates if the club miss out on Champions League football.

“Arsenal have lost key players in the past – we lost them after United won the treble in 1999 and this could be a problem over the summer if they don’t make it,” Keown told the Daily Mail.

The former Real Madrid playmaker is currently on a £140,000-a-week contract at Arsenal and has two years remaining on his current deal. Ozil is Arsenal’s most expensive signing however, following a disappointing end to the season the 27-year-old is seeking assurances that the squad will be strengthened in the summer.
