Arsenal were among several sides keeping tabs on Galatasaray defender Ozan Kabak in the Champions League Match Day 6 clash against Porto.
Sources close to the player revealed to Turkish-Football that the Gunners have been among a number of Premier League and Serie A sides scouting Kabak this term.
Galatasaray value Kabak as being worth £20m but he out of contract in 2020 and has yet to sign a new deal.
The 18-year-old defender is happy at the Lions, he rose through the youth ranks and broke into the first-team earlier this season.
The Istanbul based outfit are however, growing worried about his contract situation.
A January move would be unlikely but an end of season transfer has not been ruled out.
Galatasaray ended up losing the game 3-2 at the Turk Telekom Arena but Kabak put on a decent display making the highest number of tackles (5) for Galatasaray.
Arsenal could face competition from Manchester City for his signature if they do make a move for the promising young defender.
City scout Sebastian Arnese told Turkish radio station Radyospor.

“I am in the Manchester City scouting team. It is certainly not my job to comment but we are following Kabak,” Arnese said.
Kabak has started the last 13 games for Galatasaray including the last four Champions League matches.
The young defender was promoted to the first team following an injury crisis in defence but impressed head coach Fatih Terim so much that he was able to keep his place in the side.
