Arsenal legend expects star man to join Man United after claiming Jose Mourinho ‘would love to do that’
Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has been closely linked with a move to Manchester United over the past few weeks.
Ian Wright revealed that he expects Ozil to join the Red Devils and that head coach Jose Mourinho would love to have him at Old Trafford.
The Gunners legend admitted he would be worried if Ozil joined United as they have the type of players that could get the best out of him.
“Mesut Ozil on a free to Manchester United on a free looks a shoo-in. I’m sure Jose would love to do that,” Wright told the BBC.
“That would frighten me to death. He is a great talent and having great players around him would lift him up as well.”

Ozil has under 12 months remaining on his contract but has yet to sign an extension.
The playmaker of Turkish origin will leave Arsenal as a free agent unless a new deal is reached.
Mourinho is no stranger to working with Ozil.
Ozil played under Mourinho’s stewardship during his time at Real Madrid.
The 29-year-old enjoyed one of his most successful stints at the La Liga giants lifting the league title and winning the Spanish Cup.
Ozil scored 27 times and provided 81 assists in 159 games during his time at the Spanish giants.
