Arsenal line up Everton ace Ross Barkley as Mesut Ozil replacement as part of summer overhaul
Arsenal have set their sights on Everton star Ross Barkley as replacement for Mesut Ozil.
According to the Telegraph, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is planning to make major changes to the squad over the summer.
Per-the-source, Wenger wants to leave Arsenal on a high note and his patience with his current crop has worn thin.
The Telegraph goes onto state that Arsenal are keeping tabs on Everton’s Ross Barkley. The England international can play in Mesut Ozil’s number ten role.
Ozil has been linked with a move away from Arsenal this summer following a dispute with Wenger.
Meanwhile, The Daily Star reports that Arsenal’s rivals Tottenham are leading the race to sign Barkley.
