Arsenal news: Gunners superstar rejects £8.1m deal, set to leave next summer for free – Man United interested
Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil’s future at the north London-based club looks increasingly uncertain.
The 28-year-old is yet to agree a new contract with Arsenal despite going into the last year of his contract. Ozil’s deal expires in under 10-months, meaning he could leave for free next summer unless a new deal is agreed.
According to the Sun, Ozil is already making preparations to leave Arsenal next year. The Germany international has not discussed a new deal with Gunners officials since negotiations stalled back in February.
The report goes onto state that Arsenal offered Ozil a mega £8.1million-per-year contract in a bid to convince him to stay.
Meanwhile, Goal claim that Manchester United have been keeping tabs on the star playmaker recently. Per the source, Mourinho is keen on the move after previously working with Ozil at Real Madrid.

Arsenal signed Mesut Ozil from Madrid for £42 million back in September 2013 on transfer deadline day.
The 28-year-old played a key role during the Gunners 3-0 win over Bournemouth last weekend but is likely to be rested against Koln tomorrow evening.
