Arsenal receive major boost as Euro Giants rule out January bid for star player
Inter Milan have confirmed their interest in Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil.
The 28-year-old’s future at the north London-based club is currently cast in doubt after failing to pen a new deal. Ozil has under nine months remaining on his contract with the Gunners.
Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has spoken about his club’s interest in Ozil. Ausilio ruled out a January move for the playmaker and believes Arsenal are unlikely to sell their star man mid-way through the season.

“We are studying our squad, we have scouts everywhere and they look at every kind of player,” Ausilio told Premium Sport:
“I don’t think players like him (Ozil) will be leaving in January.
“Luciano Spalletti knows this team has room from improvement, that’s what we are working on.
“He (Ozil) is definitely one of those players we are looking at.”
Ozil make the move to Arsenal from Real Madrid for £42 million back in September 2013. The Germany international has won three FA Cup’s since making the move.
Germany boss Joachim Low left Ozil of the national team boss due to the former Schalke 04 man’s knee injury. Ozil was also sidelined for Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Brighton last weekend.
The Gunners take on Watford FC at Vicarage Road in their next Premier League game on October 14.
